June 18, 2007, Garden Club Minutes

Tonight was a very informal meeting. We visited gardens of Brenda Garland on Lakeshore drive and Lisa Corbiere on M 1 29. We enjoyed a wonderful tea served on the expansive front porch of Lisa's home. She had extensive gardens to stroll, and then we all sat on the shady porch and enjoyed good things to eat and drink.

Diane McDonald gave us information about the Soo Locks Park now providing easy watering of our main garden there-so no more carrying of buckets to the garden.

New officers were announced: Nancy Fenlon as president, Karen Cook and Phyllis Bigelow as recording secretaries, Linda Carrick as photo person, Joan Clark as treasurer, Dorothy Dansdill as membership, Susan Harries and Leann Ufer for the raffle, Jeanne Cooper as corresponding secretary, Show and Tell covered by Diane McDonald, Janet Couch and Cheryl Shaul for Phone Tree, Publicity and website by Bonnie Skoryanc and Linda Beaumont, Refreshments by Leann Ufer and Connie Mattson, and membership booklets and handouts by Andree Watson, Fran Preuss, Bev Youngs, Carol Askwith and Chris Roll for Civic Projects, Emily Grenfill, Kristen McDonald, and Linda Carrick for Scrapbook and photos.
