Sault Area Garden Club July 16, 2007 Minutes

The board met from 6:30 to 7 PM.

Fran Preuss made a motion that we purchase 100 plant labels for the club. Joan Clark seconded. Approved. Bev Youngs offered to do some research on the labels.

Kate suggested we order garden club aprons to use as presentation gifts in addition to the tote bags we already use for gifts. Dorothy Dansdill moved to buy 12 aprons; Janet couch seconded. Approved.

During the regular meeting, Phyllis read the minutes of the last meeting. Approved. The treasury report was read and approved.

The club was informed that the DeTour Garden Tour would be July 21. A garden tour in Sault, Ontario, was also mentioned for later in July.

Wednesdays at 8:30 is the time selected for work bees at the Sault Locks gardens. It is thought to get work done before it becomes too hot. All are encouraged to help the hard working group that is usually always there.

The picnic will be August 20 at Diane McDonald's home near Minneapolis Woods.
Bring a chair and a dish to share.

I had an obligation upstairs in the church and left along with Dorothy Dansdill for the program there just as we were having dessert. Garden Club kindly shared desserts with the group upstairs after their musical performance. It was much appreciated by the organizers of the Historic Churches Summer Program..

Next meeting is the August 20, picnic at Diane McDonald's house.
